Everybody wants to be a platform. Big and small companies are pushing for you to adopt their platform for messaging, social, project management, file storage etc. At the same time, over the last few years we have come to expect exceptional user experiences from the tools we use everyday. This talk will discuss the conflict between these trends and question the role of the platform.
